Weed killer

altercation in Lynn

State Police Troop M Fogelsville,reported an altercation occurred at 9:58 a.m. July 17 between Jonathan Wetzel, of the 6700 block of Madison St., and Edwin Figuroa, of the 7500 block of Market Street, both of New Tripoli, at 7545 Market St., Lynn Township.

According to police, Wetzel allegedly sprayed Figuroa with weed killer, then Figuroa allegedly pushed Wetzel.

Charges were filed through District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

Car overturns

in Lowhill Twp

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Brandi A. Schew, 26, of Whitehall, was driving a 2008 Volkswagen Passat westbound on Kistler Road approaching Spooners Road, Lowhill Township, 8:40 p.m. July 15 when the car left the roadway and struck an embankment on the north side of Kistler Road.

According to police, the car overturned and made a second point of impact on the roadway with the driver's side.

The car came to a final rest on the westbound lane of Kistler Road on its driver's side.

Neither Shew nor her passenger Christian A. Golden, 37, of Reading, who were wearing their seatbelts, were injured, police say.

Schew was charged with two traffic violations.

Catalyic converter

cut in storage

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Edwin William Kibler of Slatington reported June 26 his van's catalyic converter was cut from the exhaust system while it was parked at Emerald Self Storage, 7950 Center St., Washington Township.

Tent stolen

in Washington Twp

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say a Coleman three-room tent was stolen sometime between noon June 12 and 9 a.m. June 28 from a home along the 8700 block of South Loop Road, Washington Township.
