Students named to dean's list
The following students were named to the dean's list for either the summer, fall 2013 and/or winter 2014 term at Central Penn College, Harrisburg.
Allentown: Cassandra Culhane, majoring in criminal justice administration, Francisco Pereira, majoring in business administration;
Breinigsville: Natalie Murray, majoring in corporate communications, and Thomas Murray, majoring in business administration.
To qualify for the dean's list students must carry six or more credits and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the term.

Allentown man
on honors list
Samuel Gevirtz, a member of the class of 2014 at Connecticut College, and a resident of Allentown, was named to the dean's honors list for the 2014 spring semester.
Dean's honors is a recognition for students who have earned a grade-point average of at least 3.65, and dean's high honors is a recognition for students who have earned a grade point average of at least 3.77.

HIGHEST HONORS ARE EARNED FOR A SEMESTER GRADE POINT AVERAGE OF 3.90 OR HIGHER, HIGH HONORS FOR A GRADE POINT AVERAGE OF 3.70-3.89, AND HONORS FOR A 3.50-3.69 AVERAGE.

Carly Fuhrman of Schnecksville was named to the 2014 spring semester distinguished dean's list at the University of Albany.

Le conducting research
Chau Bao Le of Breinigsville is conducting an undergraduate research project this summer at Bucknell University.
The project, evaluating the crystal structure and its effect on biodegradability of polylactic acid using twin-screw extrusion, solid-state shear pulverization and solid-state melt extrusion, is being conducted with Professor Kat Wakabayashi of the chemical engineering department.
Le, the daughter of Anh Truong and Minh Le, is a graduate of Parkland High School.
She is majoring in chemical engineering.

Tori Seto of Allentown was named to the Miami University spring 2014 dean's list.
Miami University students who ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within each division for first semester 2013-14 were named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.

part in charity
Elad Schor joined hundreds of Blue Hens from the University of Delaware in lending a helping hand to communities in need in various U.S. cities this spring break.
The University of Delaware's alternative spring break program sent approximately 200 students to participate in alternative spring break projects in New Orleans, Florida, New Jersey, West Virginia, Detroit, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
