"Italian Cultural Night" was held recently in the downtown Allentown Arts District. The event celebrated Miller Hall's "The Met Live in HD Summer Encore Series" of Verdi's "Otello" July 9 when a lecture tour was also held of the exhibition, "Of Heaven And Earth: 500 Years of Italian Painting from Glasgow Museums," through Sept. 7, Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley. Civic Theatre of Allentown has also gone Italian with a film series, including "81/2," 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5, and "Marriage Italian Style," 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19.
