Open invitation! A friendship hour on the porch of Heidelberg Church continues through the summer Sundays following the 11 a.m. United Church of Christ service.

Why not stay a bit longer and enjoy a little food with lots of fellowship.

To host this get-together or bake a batch of something sweet to eat, place your name on the sign-up sheet in the narthex.

Game on! Heidelberg Township's bowling league is looking for people in the area to join the team.

According to longtime bowler Elaine Hoppes of Germansville, the township bowling league was formed in the 1950s.

"Our league does not care what your bowling average is," Hoppes said. "Just come out and have some fun and good exercise."

Men, women, couples and young adults of all ages are welcome to join this very friendly group of bowlers 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the Slatington Bowling Center.

The league will begin bowling again Sept. 2 and continue through April 2015.

To sign up or for more information, call Harold at 610-767-4400.

Just a thought! Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
