To the Editor:
Heartfelt thanks to Trexler, Schmoyer and J.S. Burkhholder funeral homes for sponsoring the Independence Day fireworks spectacular July 5 at Breinigsville Park.
Spectacular it was.
My family and I were awestruck at the most beautiful display of fireworks we ever saw. The park was great for young children to play at prior to the fireworks.
The patriotic sing along, the reading of the Declaration of Independence and the music during the fireworks, along with the huge American flag proudly waving in the forefront, truly reminded us of the freedom and independence we enjoy in America and the sacrifices that made it all possible.
My mother-in-law described it well when she said it was "a Norman Rockwell experience."
Also thanks to Hometown Diner for letting us use their grassy area for parking.
Our daughter is serving in the U.S. Navy and it made our holiday extra special.
Thank you!
