Parkland Community Library and the Friends the Library are hosting international best-selling author Jane Green 7 p.m. July 16 at Parkland High School Forum Room, 2700 N. Cedar Crest Blvd, South Whitehall.

Green will speak about and sign copies of her latest novel "Tempting Fate."

Join Matt Bielecki of the Museum of Indian Culture for an archaeology adventure 10:30 a.m. to noon July 19 in the South Whitehall Township Building.

This event is open to adults and children.

The library's new group for aspiring authors will meet 7 p.m. July 17 on the porch.

Book Quest will meet at 7 p.m. July 15 to discuss "The Sandcastle Girls," by Chris Bohjalian.

Story time and a craft with Miss Carly is being offered 10 a.m. July 22 at the Upper Macungie Township Community Center, 150 Independent Road, Breinigsville, and 10 a.m. July 17 at the North Whitehall Township Building, 3256 Levans Road, Coplay.

Bricks for Kids: Build with Legos for kids entering grades three to six will be 10 a.m. July 15 at Upper Macungie Township Community Center, 150 Independent Road, Breinigsville.

Eyes in the Library with Dawn Sellers will be held 11 a.m. July 17 at the North Whitehall Township Building, 3256 Levans Road, Coplay.

Movie night will take place 7 p.m. July 18 in the library.

Join the Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs for "Read to the Pups" 6:30 p.m. July 14 and July 21 at the library.

Practice reading aloud to these patient and gentle pups.

Upper Macungie Township is offering geocaching 11 a.m.-2 p.m. July 19 in Upper Macungie Park.

This free event is open to everyone regardless of geocaching abilities.

No registration is needed to participate.
