Last Year, Calvary Baptist Church, South Whitehall, celebrated its 60th anniversary.

As a gift to the church, the Lehigh County Conference of Churches donated a tree for the church property.

Miles Miller, church member and resident landscaper, picked up the Japanese red maple and planted it near the playground.

Church members attended the May 20 dedication of the tree with Executive Director Dr. Jack Felch of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches.

A responsive reading and prayer were shared by the Rev. Manfred von Harten, Calvary Baptist Church minister, and Felch.

Also attending were Miles Miller, Arlan Benscoter, Allen Davies, and Gerald Stover Campbell from the Lehigh County Conference of Churches, who brought a Bible verse "O Lord, may we always be rooted in thee."
