The 2014 Steps4Stellar 5K Run/Walk hosted in conjunction with Stellar Basketball Tournament "Catch a Rising Star" will be held 9 a.m. July 12 at Cedar Beach Park, 2600 Parkway Blvd., Allentown. The event will be held rain or shine.

The race was started in honor of Debbie Stellar who died of ovarian cancer in 2010.

Registration/number pickup will be in the parking lot near the pool and basketball courts starting 7:30 a.m. and ending 8:30 a.m.

The race course will start and end near the basketball courts and dogs and strollers are welcome.

There will be refreshments for finishers, food vendors, plenty of parking, toilet facilities and time clock at finish and instant results.

Online registration closes on July 10.

Proceeds go to a scholarship for a student whose family is battling cancer.

The Stellar Basketball Tournament will be held later in the day.
