Nadder Nejad of Whitehall Township has received the title of Eastern Pennsylvania's Man of the Year at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) fundraiser.
Linora Gula of Easton claimed the title of Eastern Pennsylvania's Woman of the Year.
Lehigh Valley contestants spent 10 weeks competing for the titles, utilizing leadership abilities to hold his or her own fundraising campaign.
The 12 candidates raised a record-breaking $290,000. Every dollar raised counted as one vote.
Winners were announced at the Grand Finale, May 29, Woodstone Country Club, Danielsville. The night was a celebration of the 14 candidates' efforts. There were cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live and silent auctions, dinner and dancing.
