completes basic

Air Force Airman Taylor M. Filman graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Filman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Filman is the daughter of Yvonne and Kenneth C. Fillman Jr. of Allentown.

She is also the sister of Courtney J. Fillman of Indiana, and Stephanie A. Heffelfinger and Melissa L. Gillenwater, both of Allentown.

Filman is a 2013 graduate of Parkland High School.
