Good Cause: 102nd St. Luke's Ball raises $350,000
More than $350,000 was raised for St. Luke's University Health Network Heart and Vascular Center by the Auxiliary of St. Luke's University Hospital at the 102nd Charity Ball attended by 675 at Saucon Valley Country Club.
The theme for the May 2 event, chaired by Pat Schoenen, was "Yellow Brick Road." Dr. Jack and Mrs. Faith Ann Ryan were honorary chairs.
The 2014 Charity Ball will fund a healthcare van that will travel to area nursing homes, assisted living facilities and community venues to provide cardiac and vascular screenings and follow-up care. Proceeds will also help expand education and prevention initiatives of the St. Luke's Women's Heart Center.

Musikfest golf outing: The 2nd Annual Musikfest Golf Tournament presented by Frederick's Meats and Banko Beverage Company, is 12:30 p.m. July 7, Bethlehem Golf Club.
The Musikfest Golf Tournament is a four-man scramble highlighted by food stops at several holes where golfers can enjoy Musikfest favorites served by some of the festival's most popular food and drink vendors, including Aw Shucks, Island Expressions, Heaven on a Bun, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley and Bethlehem Dairy Store. The event concludes with a buffet by longtime Musikfest vendor Karl Ehmer and music by 99.9 The Hawk.
The tournament is limited to 36 foursomes and will include two flights. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams in each flight, as well as for the longest and straightest drives and the closest shot to the pin. Any golfer who scores a hole in one on the 14th hole will win a brand new Chevy Cruze courtesy of Chevy 21 of Bethlehem.
Entry fees include greens fees, golf cart, Musikfest gift bag and food and beverages.
Proceeds support ArtsQuest's music, arts and education programming, including 500 free concerts annually at Musikfest.
