Old-Fashioned Fourth of July picnic at Macungie Memorial Park 10 a.m. Event includes a parade including marchers and decorated bikes, scooters, wagons or strollers, seventh annual duck race in the creek, Macungie Band performance, fire department and ambulance equipment display, contests and games for children of all ages and more. "Chalk the Walk" event, sponsored by the Emmaus Arts Commission, 9 a.m. to noon at Triangle Park. Children and adult artists will surround Triangle Park to showcase their original designs and colorful chalk illustrations. Rain date is July 13. For more information, visit emmausarts.org.
Fourth annual rain barrel art silent auction in Emmaus. Barrels can be viewed at Run Inn, South Mountain Cycle or the Emmaus Farmers Market July 6. Final bids will be taken at Chalk the Walk event on the Triangle. Barrels will be awarded to the highest bidders 11 a.m.

Lehigh Valley Health Network is presenting a community open house to showcase its newest location, LVHN-One City Center. The event is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. LVHN-One City Center, 707 Hamilton St., Allentown. LVHN-One City Center is a sports medicine and fitness destination center located in the same complex as the brand-new PPL Center arena which will include a 17,000-square-foot LVHN fitness location, a sports performance program, massage services, rehabilitation services, a concussion and head trauma program and occupational medicine services through HealthWorks. At the open house, attendees can see demonstrations of group fitness classes, experience massage services, use the new multisport simulator, test the latest technologies for physical therapy and sports performance, get free health screenings and more. Second annual 5K Run/ Walk with your Doctor, Lehigh Parkway, 1700 Martin Luther Jr. Blvd., Allentown. Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and a raffle donation will benefit veterans for the Wounded Warrior Project.
