Upper Macungie Township will be offering adult basketball 6 p.m. to dusk Thursdays June 12 through September at Ricky Park, 5875 Ricky Ridge Trail, Orefield.

Movie in the Park begins June 13 with the "Secret Life of Walter Mitty" in Lone Lane Park.

Parkland Community Library's new group for aspiring authors will meet 7 p.m. June 19 on the porch, 4422 Walbert Ave, South Whitehall.

Book Quest will meet at 7 p.m. June 17 to discuss "Miss Timmins' School for Girls" by Nayana Currimbhoy.

Story time and a craft with Miss Carly will be 10 a.m. June 17 at the Upper Macungie Township Community Center, 150 Independent Road, Breinigsville, and 10 a.m. June 19 at North Whitehall Township Building, 3256 Levans Road, Coplay.

The library will be hosting Geocaching with the Wildlands Conservatory 6:30 p.m. June 25 at the Trexler Environmental Education Center, 4935 Orchard Road, Schnecks-ville. Rain date is scheduled for June 26.

Players will navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the hidden cache.

This event is limited to 20 participants.

Zion Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, will have Vacation Bible School for children up to sixth grade 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 23-27.
