Sports physicals to be offered June 14
On June 14, Allentown Central Catholic High School will provide an opportunity to all students, including incoming freshman, interested in playing a sport during the 2014-15 academic year to receive a sports physical.
The required forms are the PIAA pre-participation forms which can be found on the school website under "Athletics." There will be no make-up date. If a student interested in playing sports is not in attendance, they will need to get the PIAA pre-participation forms filled out by their own doctor.
Students should arrive dressed in comfortable shorts, T-shirt and sneakers, along with the PIAA pre-participation form with sections one through five completed. The physical usually takes around 30 minutes to complete, consisting of a general medical and orthopedic exam completed by trained practitioners. Arrival times and additional information can be found in the May/June parent newsletter on the school website at acchs.info.
The first official PIAA fall practice date is Aug. 11.
