South Whitehall couple celebrate

golden wedding anniversary

John and Janet (Edelstein) Ettinger of South Whitehall will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 13.

They were married in Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown, in 1964.

John retired in 1993 from teaching and coaching at Parkland High School after 45 years.

Janet was a dietician at Sacred Heart Hospital and Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, before raising their two children, John Mark of San Francisco, Calif., and Neil David of Walnutport.

John and Janet are year-round sports enthusiasts, and enjoy following Duke University basketball, the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Yankees, while spoiling their two grandchildren, Keira and Baylor Ettinger.
