Nestlé Waters North America representative Eric Andreus recently gave a donation of $5,000 to the Northwestern Recreation Commission.

He said the Deer Park brand, which obtains water from springs along Mountain Road, is committed to being a good neighbor.

The company has made many donations locally, such as to the recreation commission and to Ontelaunee Park.

The $5,000 is to enhance the fields and must be used in 2014.

Rec commission member LeRoy Sorensen thanked Nestlé and asked if Andreus had any ideas what the money could be used for.

Todd Leiser immediately suggested a contribution for more dugouts.

Andreus will wait for definite suggestions.

Rec Commission President Don Link said the last time the money was spent for bleachers.

"We can't thank you enough," Link said. "You care about this community. We are glad to get some of the funds.

"They've been very generous," said member Justin Smith, of Lynn Township.
