Copper wire stolen

in Lynn Township

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Landis Mechanical of Leesport reported several copper wires were cut off a welder sometime between 10 p.m. on May 20 and 7 a.m. the next day at 8800 block of Kings Highway, Lynn Township.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact state police at 610-395-1438.

Allentown teen

threatens teachers

Police say a 15-year-old Allentown boy threatened to shoot two teachers and bring a gun to school 12:15 p.m. May 20 at Lehigh Learning and Achievement School, 2936 Corporate Court, Lowhill Township.

The teachers were not present when the threat was made and no gun was found on teen, police say.

The teen was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct, police say.

Driver avoids deer,

Jeep hits tree

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Christopher J. Roskilly, 23, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2003 Jeep east on Lyon Valley Road, Weisenberg Township, when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road and struck a tree 4:34 a.m. May 10.

After impact, the Jeep rolled over to its point of final rest at 9295 Lyon Valley Road.

Roskilly, who police say was wearing his seat belt, allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication and was tranported to Lehigh Valley Hospital and treated.
