Belle of the stage: The national touring production of "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" will be presented at 7 p.m. June 3 and 4, State Theatre for the Arts, 453 Northampton St., Easton. The hit Broadway musical features the animated feature movie's Academy Award-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs with music by Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice. "Beauty and the Beast" tells the classic story about Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress. A discount per ticket, with a limit of four per household, is available to those who donate a "Book for Belle." Books brought to the State Theatre Box Office will be donated to the Easton Area Public Library. Ballet "Tribute": The Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley-Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (PYB) presents "A Tribute to American Music," May 31, Baker Hall, Zoellner Arts Center, Lehigh University, Bethlehem. The first portion of the annual spring ballet, "An American Portrait," begins at 6 p.m., featuring Community Division students, ranging in age from four to 18, and five adults in pieces choreographed by Artistic Director Karen Kroninger Knerr and Guild teaching staff. Dancers include Liberty High School senior Jenna DeVivo and Bethlehem Catholic High School senior Colleen Reed. The second portion, an all-Aaron Copland program, begins at 7:30 p.m., featuring lead female roles in "Our Town" danced by PYB instructor and Suzanne Farrell Ballet soloist Elisabeth Holowchuk, above, right, of Bethlehem, and PYB students Abigail Healey of Jim Thorpe; Jillian Sinko and Corinne Walden, both of Bethlehem, and Isabelle Stringer of Allentown. Two Pre-Professional students, Rachel Altemose of Bethlehem and Natalie Hedrick of Easton, are featured in pas de deux with BalletFleming guest artists, including Yosbel Delgado, above, left, in "Rodeo Suite." Allen Organ concert: Organist Christopher Houlihan, above, continues his Spring 2014 tour with a 7:30 p.m. May 30 concert, Octave Hall, Allen Organ Company Headquarters, 150 Locust St., Macungie. Houlihan, 26, has performed in cities across the United States and in Europe. The Wall Street Journal referred to his "dazzling performances," The New York Times praised his "flexibility and clarity" and the Los Angeles Times dubbed him an "eloquent musician."
