LV Homes for Heroes honors ambulance corps crew

Homes for Heroes of the Lehigh Valley recently recognized Cetronia Ambulance Corps crew members in honor of National Heroes Day.

To show their appreciation, the Barb Bottitta team and the Joe and Deb Corcoran team from Keller Williams Real Estate, along with the Michael Mann team from Fairway Independent Mortgage provided the ambulance corps crew with breakfast May 6 to help start their day.

"Homes for Heroes provides real rebates and real discounts to heroes who are buying or selling a home," Bottitta said. "We are the first ones in Pennsylvania to bring this program to the state.

"Joe, Deb and I just wanted to give back to the community and just do our best to help these local heroes."

Joe Corcoran also commented on the program and addressed Cetronia crew members.

"My wife, Deb, and I have always thought it was important to recognize the heroes who help us in our everyday lives," Corcoran said. "We had a conversation several years ago with Barb about how we could help these kind people and we were fortunate to find the Homes for Heroes program.

"We would like to thank you for all you do every day out on the streets, you are our symbolic heroes.

"Today is a chance for us to say thank you and we appreciate what you do. It is National Heroes Day and we just want to bring you a little breakfast and help you get your day started off right."

Congressman Charlie Dent, R-15th, who also attended the breakfast, thanked both the Cetronia crew members and the teams from Keller Williams and Fairway for the work they do everyday.

"Thank you to Cetronia Ambulance for all they do everyday here," Dent said. And thank you to everybody from the program who are here today.

"This is really extraordinary for what you are doing to help our veterans.

"It is most appropriate you are out there thinking of them on the private side and trying to provide as much support as you can so all we can say is thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity."

Cetronia CEO Larry Wiersch also commented on the real estate teams helping his crew members.

"We appreciate the help you are giving our staff and making sure our heroes, your heroes are able to afford a house somewhere in the Valley," Wiersch said.
