Upper Macungie Township has partnered with Jack Rosa-Martir of Pet Tech to provide a pet CPR and first aid class 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 18 at Independent Park, 150 Independent Road, Breinigsville.

Learn three CPR techniques as well as rescue breathing, chocking management, poisoning, bleeding protocols, bites and stings and heat and cold injuries.

Class is limited to eight participants.

Parkland Community Library's new group, Writers Unite, for aspiring authors will meet 7-8 p.m. May 15 at 4422 Walbert Ave, South Whitehall.

Drop-in Storytime for families with young children of all ages will take place 10:30-11 a.m. May 16 and 23.

There will be stories, songs, and games for the whole family to share.

Ever wondered how to find credible health information online then come to the basic computer class "Finding Health Information" 9-10 a.m. May 17 and learn how to access library health related resources, and government health sites.

The book group for adults "Book Quest" will meet 7-8:30 p.m. May 21 to discuss "The Sandcastle Girls" by Chris Bohjalian.

New members are always welcome to attend.

Spend a fun afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks with the Knitting Circle 1:30-4 p.m. on May 22.

Just bring knitting materials and enthusiasm. The Knitting Circle is for knitters of all ages and skill levels.

St. John's United Church of Christ, 1027 Church St., Fogelsville, will be having its annual Memorial Day Service with the Robert M. Fegely VFW Post 8282, Breinigsville, 10 a.m. May 26 at the cemetery.

The Breinigsville VFW will lead the service of remembrance and present the colors.

The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will also be present to assist at the service.

St. John's United Church of Christ and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church will be offering a joint "Workshop of Wonders: Image and Build with God" Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m.-noon June 23-27.

Zion Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, is having a Seeders and Sow plant sale 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 17. Perennials will be available for purchase.
