Salisbury police

DUI

Joseph Petrakovich, 68, of Allentown, was charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop May 2 at Black River Road and Honeysuckle Road. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Drug possession

Antonio Johnson, 29, of Bethlehem, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after an alleged incident in the 1600 block of Jeter Avenue 8:24 p.m. May 5. Johnson was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Tamila Smith, 29, of Allentown, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct after an alleged incident in the 1600 block of Jeter Avenue 8:24 p.m. May 5. Smith was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Traffic detail

Police conducted routine traffic stops during the month of April with 105 traffic stops, 90 speeding citations, three seat belt citations, two suspended driver citations and nine other citations issued.

Identity theft

A resident in the 1900 block of Greenwood Road reported an unknown person attempted to open multiple credit cards in her name. A report was made 5:17 p.m. May 6 and she was given an identity theft packet at the police station to notify the credit agencies.

Dog incident

A resident noticed a dog on the side of the road along Sage Street and Devonshire Road 9:44 a.m. May 6. The dog was found with electrical wire wrapped around its neck several times. The dog was caught and taken to the Lehigh County Humane Society.

Scattering trash

Police were called to a report of trash in the 300 block of East Emmaus Avenue 9:33 p.m. May 6. The Eastern Salisbury Fire Department, nearby finishing another call, assisted police with the cleanup.

Scam

A resident in the 1600 block of Crownwood Street reported receiving a call 9:15 a.m. May 6 from an unknown person claiming to be with the Lehigh County Sheriffs Department. The person informed the resident they had missed jury duty and must pay money to satisfy the fine with a prepaid debit card (green dot card). The Salisbury Township Police Department would like to remind residents this is a scam. Police said not to get the prepaid debit card and notify the police if you receive this call at 610-797-1447.

A resident in the 1500 block of Maumee Avenue reported receiving a call 4:06 p.m. May 7 from Sinclair Customer Metric asking the resident to allegedly do evaluations, cash a check the company sends and then distribute some of the money from the check. The police department warns this is a scam.

Prowler

A resident in the 2200 block of Greenwood Road reported 9:15 a.m. May 7 an unknown white male was seen looking in the windows of a neighbor's home.

Theft from vehicle

A resident in the 3100 block of West Emaus Avenue reported 1:43 p.m. May 8 the theft of a California custom car cover from MG valued at $300.

A resident in the 2200 block of Devonshire Road reported 11:57 a.m. May 7 an unknown person removed a.380 Ruger LCD pistol from an unlocked vehicle.

A resident in the 3400 block of Kathleen Avenue reported 6:22 a.m. May 9 the theft of a GPS and Cannon digital camera from a locked vehicle. There was no damage to the vehicle.

Disturbance

A resident in the 2700 block of Green Acres Drive reported 10:25 p.m. May 8 kids in Green Acres Park being disruptive. Police told them to go home as the park is closed at night.

Sex offense

Felix Rios, 63, of Allentown, was charged with indecent assault and harassment 8:17 a.m. May 8 after an alleged incident at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd.
