New Bethel Church, Kempton, will have a garden sale 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. May 10.

There will be vegetable starts, Paisley and Company products, flowers, garden crafts and wooden roses plus two area experts to help with gardening questions.

Master Gardener Karen George from Lenhartsville, will speak at 10 a.m. about attracting pollinators to gardens.

Robyn Jasko, author and gardening guru from Kutztown, will speak at 11 a.m. about backyard gardening and how to become more food independent.

Jasko's book titled "Homesweet Homegrown" focuses on how to grow, make and store your own food.

She will be available for a book signing and question-and-answer session.

Handmade conservation bat houses, blue bird and wood duck houses made by David Schucker of Boy Scout Troop 104 will also be available. Proceeds will fund a new path for the Hawk Mountain Native Garden.

Lunch and baked goods will be available.

There will also be electronics recycling by Responsible Recycling Services.

This annual event provides funding for the community's older youth mission trip, as well as providing necessities to local families in need.

The seventh annual Native American Pow Wow will take place May 16, for children from the Northwestern School District and May 17 and 18 for the public at Ontelaunee Park, Route 143, Lynn Township. There is an admission fee.

Ebenezer Church, New Tripoli, is hosting a parking lot sale 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May 31.

Ebenezer's Closet will be open 6-8 p.m. May 8 and from 10 a.m.-noon May 10.

There are free clothes for the entire family. Take as much as you need. Proof of need not required.

Clothing donations are not being accepted at this time.

Ebenezer is also having a special Memorial Day service "Honor Our Fallen Heroes" at 9 a.m. May 25 in the cemetery.
