Mark your calendar! On May 10, Lehigh-Northampton County Pomona Grangers are sponsoring a chicken barbecue dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Schnecks-ville Grange, 5322 Route 873, Schnecksville.
Meal includes half a chicken, baked potato, pepper cabbage, applesauce and dinner roll. Eat in or take out.
Proceeds will be used to sponsor a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to the 2014 Allentown Fair Queen. Come out and meet 2013 Queen Erin Schantzenbach, and enjoy a dinner, too.

That's the spirit! More than 95 children plus their parents or grandparents had a joyous time collecting Easter eggs and eating snacks at the Heidelberg Church Sunday School egg hunt.
Hats off to the Heidelberg Heights Community Playground Association for raising a whopping $300 from the bake sales and bunny photos.
These funds will be used for playground improvements.
As always, special thanks to the many volunteers for making this event such a wonderful outreach for the church and community families.

Way to go! If you, your son or daughter will be graduating from high school, college or technical school this year, call the Heidelberg Church office at 610-767-4740 (UCC) or 610-767-1526 (Lutheran) and leave the name of the graduate and school from which he or she will be graduating. Include any special awards or recognition they received.
Heidelberg Lutheran Graduate Recognition Sunday will be 8:30 a.m. June 15.
Heidelberg UCC Graduate Recognition Sunday is scheduled for 11 a.m. June 22.

Spread the word! Hooks of Hope, a chapter of Crochet for Cancer, is seeking donations of yarn, knitted or crocheted items such as, baby caps, afghans, lap robes, etc. to give to children's hospitals and chemotherapy patients.
Call Heidelberg Church member Barbara Weaver at 610-767-3068 to arrange a pickup of any donated materials, if necessary.
