Student named to honor society

Katelyn Moyer, of Allentown, was among the 42 students inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, the national honor society for students in Jesuit colleges and universities, at a ceremony held recently.

The Scranton chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu was founded in 1943 and is the oldest honor society at The University of Scranton. Juniors, seniors and graduate students who have distinguished themselves in scholarship, loyalty and service are eligible for membership.

Moyer, a senior, is majoring in exercise science.

Shannon Mondovich, of Allentown, recently was among 27 students inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.

Founded in 1946, Alpha Sigma Lambda's aim is to recognize the achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work.
