The Auxiliary of St. Luke's University Hospital recently announced the group raised $523,000 through volunteer efforts during 2013 and the funds will be donated to more than 26 departments and programs at St. Luke's University Health Network. Funds are raised through a combination of events such as the annual charity ball, fashion show and golf tournament as well as through the gift shop and vending machine sales. Departments across the hospital apply to the Auxiliary Wish List with grant requests, of which $134,000 was distributed to programs ranging from community health to pediatrics to cardiology. The 2013 Charity Ball raised $329,000 for the Center for Neurosciences.
