Police Chief Edgardo Colon informed the board the Borough of Emmaus will be leasing one of the departments' motorcycles. The borough will be using a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle for two officers undergoing training.
Colon said there are still a few details to be worked out.
In other matters, Supervisor Kathy Rader, on behalf of the township, honored Cindy Schwartz for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award.
This award is equivalent to the Eagle Scout designation in Boy Scouts.
This is the highest achievement in Girl Scouting fewer than 6 percent of Girl Scouts receive this award.
The official presentation will be April 27 at the Crown Plaza, Philadelphia Valley Forge, King of Prussia.
Scott Faust will advertise for bids for road work for the upcoming year.
His road report included repairing signs, truck maintenance, cold patching, street sweeping and tree trimming along with the normal continuing projects.
The Public Works Department is also working at Breinigsville, Lone Lane and Grange Road parks.

Scott Stenroos will try to obtain funding through the Tiger Grant program.

A transportation study will be done in the Lehigh Valley. Colon opined this was a good time to do this.
Supervisor Jim Brunell also commented.
"We must preserve and upgrade what we have," Brunell said.
Supervisors authorized sending a letter to the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission in support of the LVPC's pursuit of grant for parks, recreation and open space.
The board authorized Solicitor Andrew Schantz to prepare an ordinance to change the name of a short section of Mosser Road, which is frontage of Mosser Nursing Home.
EMS personnel said there was some confusion in this area as there is another Mosser Road to the west of the nursing home. The stretch in front of the home is a dead end.
Changing the name would affect two property owners' addresses.
The Schantz Road detour will last until July 2015.
The board is concerned PennDOT has not adequately marked the construction area and truck drivers will not know where the construction is and will be unable to turn around, if they head in that direction.
Supervisors were also concerned about potential damage to township roads the trucks might use.
Stenroos is in contact with PennDOT and will try to have the agency set up more signs.
