Lehigh County District Attorney's Office, police departments, the Allentown Health Bureau, Pa. State Police and the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration will be having National Take Back Day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 26.
County residents can dispose of capsules, pills, including pet medications and liquids.
Syringes or Sharps will not be accepted.
Residents who dispose of medications will remain anonymous. No questions will be asked.
Bring expired and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications to:
·Slatington Police Department, 125 S. Walnut St., Slatington;
·South Whitehall Township Police Department, 4444 Walbert Ave. Main entrance to the police department is at the back of the municipal building on the lower level;
·Walgreen's Pharmacy, 1702 W. Tilghman St., Allentown.
·Pa. State Police, Troop M, 8320 Schantz Road, Upper Macungie Township.
DEA personnel will take the drugs to an incinerator where they are burned.
