The Sergeant Major of the United States Marine Corps Reserve-Marine Forces North is guest of honor at the 75th Annual Honorary First Defenders, Allentown Chapter, Dining-In, April 25, Rodeway Inn, 22-78 and 309, Allentown.
Sgt. Maj. Spadaro is on active duty at the Marine Forces Reserve Headquarters, New Orleans, the command for approximately 100,000 Reserve Marines and 187 Reserve Training Centers located throughout the United States.
The cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. The dinner and ceremony starts at 7 p.m.
Spadaro was promoted to his present position in July 2013.
Marine Forces Reserve, the largest command in the Corps, has three major subordinate commands: the 4th Marine Division, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, and 4th Marine Logistics Group.
The Commander, Marine Forces Reserve (COMMARFORRES) commands and controls assigned forces for the purpose of augmenting and reinforcing the active component with trained units and individual Marines as a sustainable and ready operational reserve in order to augment and reinforce active forces for deployment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement. COMMARFORRES is the principle advisor to the Commandant of the Marine Corps on matters pertaining to Marine Forces Reserve.
