Theft

An employee at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest reported 4 p.m. April 5 approximately $100 and cigarettes were removed from her purse which was in an unlocked area for employees. Police are investigating.

An unknown person removed a 6-foot nutcracker statue valued at $500 from the front porch of a home in the 1100 block of Bellair Drive. The theft was reported 9:55 a.m. April 7.

Several employees at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest reported 6:38 p.m. April 8 the removal of miscellaneous items from purses over a period of time. Police are investigating.

Assault

Michael Lee, 35, of Allentown, was charged with simple assault and harassment after an incident in the 800 block of East Lexington Street 1:44 a.m. April 5. Lee allegedly struck the victim in the face and shoulder. After being treated at the hospital for a previous injury, Lee was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Retail theft

An unknown person was seen on surveillance camera at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St., Allentown, removing a 3-cup coffee thermos valued at $64 and walking out of the store.

Criminal mischief

A resident in the 700 block of Glennwood Street, reported damage to a mailbox and spray paint on the hood of a vehicle and garage door 7:40 a.m. April 11.
