'Earth Fair' April 26 plans finalized

The Salisbury Township Environmental Advisory council has finalized plans for the second annual "Earth Fair" April 26 at Lindberg Park. The presentation schedule is: 10 a.m. - Lehigh County Penn State Extension Master Gardener: Composting; 10:30 a.m. - Lehigh Valley Health Network: Healthy Living; 11 a.m. - Audubon Pennsylvania: Bird Town, and 11:30 a.m. - Waste Management: Recycling. At the April 16 meeting, the new STEAC bulletin board in the municipal building lobby was unveiled. Pictured are, from left: Salisbury Township Commissioner Joanne Ackerman, STEAC Member Sandra Thomas, STEAC Chair Kreg Ulery, Lehigh Valley Health Network Sustainability Specialist Katie Velekei, STEAC Member Mary Anne Stinner, STEAC Vice Chair Glenn Miller and STEAC Task Force Member Robert Agonis. Ulery holds the "Earth Fair" flyer being distributed. On the bulletin board is an Audubon "Bird Town" designation sign, to be displayed at the Earth Fair. Five of the "Bird Town" signs are to be placed along main thoroughfares in the township.
