Five volunteers have been chosen to be honored in Salisbury Township.

To be honored are Debra Brinton, Marion Gewartowski, Richard Mann, Robert Sopko and Mary Anne Stinner.

The volunteers will accept their awards at a recognition dinner April 23 in the Salisbury Township Municipal Building meeting room.

Commissioners voted 4-0, with one commissioner absent at the April 10 meeting, to approve a resolution honoring the volunteers.

At the March 27 township meeting, commissioners voted to proclaim April as "Volunteer Recognition Month."

The volunteers are being recognized as individuals who have dedicated their time and energy to further Salisbury Township's quality of life.
