Embassy Bank is inviting the community to submit photos of family members, neighbors and friends who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces for the fourth-annual "Our Hometown Heroes" display at SteelStacks Memorial Day weekend, May 24 - 26.
The Memorial Day Celebration presented by Embassy Bank includes three days of music, family activities and programming to salute past and present members of the military. The weekend concludes with a Memorial Service May 26 honoring those who have lost their lives while serving.
Each submitted photo will be displayed on one of the "Our Hometown Heroes" banners on the SteelStacks campus and include the soldier's rank, branch, dates of service and hometown. The display is expected to include hundreds of images of local servicemen and women from all branches of the military.
"Over the past three years, close to 300 photographs have been submitted for the 'Our Hometown Heroes' project at SteelStacks," said Embassy Bank CEO, President and Chairman Dave Lobach Jr.
"This display is a wonderful way to honor the many local men and women who have protected and served our great nation over the years. We are very proud to sponsor the Memorial Day weekend at SteelStacks, and we encourage everyone to stop by for the celebration and show their support for our troops."
Photos should be high-resolution images in one of the following file formats: jpeg, tiff, bitmap or PDF. Color and black amd white photographs may also be dropped off at any Lehigh Valley Embassy Bank branch.
Print photos will be returned and may be picked up at the Banana Factory, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem, May 1 - 14.
Submissions are being accepted through April 30 at artsquest.org/memorialday.
