STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q. What grade are you currently in?
A. Currently, I am a senior at Salisbury High School.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite school subject would have to be English 12 taught by Mr. Vecellio. Although the topics discussed in class are not entirely my predilection, Mr. V. can always put a smile on my face through his unique and quirky personality we all know and love.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. For two years, I have been a member of National Honor Society and continue to meet these standards through receiving honor roll each quarter.
Q. What extracurricular activities are you involved in, both in and out of school?
A. I am not currently in any specific extracurricular activities as of my freshman year of high school where I participated in my last season as part of the school's soccer team. I have since given up this privilege of participating in sports to focus on my education, which has shown a positive process thus far.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. Starting this fall, I plan to attend community college at LCCC as I continue to be undecided on a future major. I plan to take my general education there and transfer colleges after taking a year or two of classes.
Q. What do you want to be remembered for?
A. It would be an honor to be remembered for my caring personality and the hard work and determination I put forth in everything I set my mind to.
Q. Who is in your family?
A. My family consists of my parents Greg and Carolyn, my eldest brother Austin, my sister Emily and my twin sister Christine.
Q. Do you have someone you look up to?
A. One individual who has an impact on my life would be my brother Austin. He has grown immensely in a brief amount of time starting from his last year of high school up to him graduating college this year from the University of Delaware. It's been a big change for our family adjusting to the first born growing up and encountering life for the first time but it has made him stronger, and I only hope my life will be encouraged by his own.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. My advice would be never to give up on the difficulties life throws at you and always set goals so that when you accomplish them, you will experience that amazing feeling of success and grow on from there.
