The Salisbury Township Police Department, in cooperation with the Salisbury Township School District, would like to remind all students and parents about safety concerns in Salisbury Township.
A report was made April 3 by several students who observed an unfamiliar vehicle driving in the area of their bus stop. The windows were tinted and the occupants were not visible. The vehicle did not attempt to communicate or have contact with the children, but the children felt the car was out of place.
We encourage every parent to speak with children about safety and security especially when the warmer weather is upon us and the outdoor activities start to increase.
We encourage open conversation with children about not talking with strangers, reporting suspicious vehicles, suspicious people and unlawful activity. Police also encourage if any situation seems out of place to call the Salisbury Township Police Department and report the matter.
The police department is in daily contact with the Salisbury Townshiop School District, and openly shares any matters of importance to the health, safety and welfare of the students and staff.
