The Lower Macungie Library will participate in National Library Week with a slate of events beginning April 14.

National Library Week runs April 13 through 19.

Lower Macungie Library will host special events highlighting the role libraries play in changing people's lives in keeping with the event theme "lives change at your library."

The first 25 people who enter the library will receive free LML magnets.

During National Library Week, patrons may check out an extra DVD, sound recording or music CD.

The library will have available free candy the entire week, while supplies last, courtesy of Just Born candy makers in Bethelehem.

A number of special events are scheduled.
