Jerry Jones, 26, of Allentown, was taken into custody for suspicion of allegedly driving under the influence after he was found asleep in his vehicle stopped partially in the west and eastbound lanes of Lincoln Avenue at State Route 29, Salisbury Township, 12:47 a.m. March 30. The vehicle was observed sitting through several green lights. Police found Jones allegedly sleeping in the car which was running and in the drive gear. The registration plate displayed on the vehicle allegedly expired in 2008 and was not registered to the car. Also, Jones allegedly was driving with a suspended license. Jones was transported to Lehigh County Prison where a blood draw was conducted to determine blood alcohol content, according to State Police at Fogelsville. Charges are pending.
