SALISBURY TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT

Three resignations of longtime teachers, due to retirement, were accepted with regret at the March 19 meeting of the Salisbury Township School District Board of Directors.

Robyn J. Balsai, an English teacher at Salisbury High School, will retire effective on the last day of the 2013-2014 school year.

Ruth D. Smith, biology teacher at Salisbury High School, will retire effective on the last day of the 2013-2014 school year.

Jennifer L. Piagesi, an English teacher at Salisbury High School, will retire effective on the last day of the 2013-2014 school year.

In other personnel news, the board accepted the resignation of Karen Rideout as a part-time learning support instructional assistant at Western Salisbury Elementary School effective at the end of the work day April 1, and the resignation of Meredith Makoul as the middle school softball co-coach retroactive to March 9.

Eric Beltz, of Whitehall, was approved pending completion of requirements, as the assistant softball/pitching coach for the 2013-2014 school year at the 2013-2014 shared contractual rate of pay for this position of $3,058.

Timothy Zaborowski, of Allentown, was approved as a volunteer assistant boys tennis coach for the 2013-2014 school term without pay and/or benefits.

Carly Brown, of Allentown, was approved as a volunteer twirling coach for the 2013-2014 school term without pay and/or benefits.

Joshua Blake, of Easton, was approved pending completion of requirements, as a volunteer assistant varsity softball coach for the 2013-2014 school term without pay and/or benefits.
