The next AARP Lower Macungie Chapter # 4150 meeting is noon in the community room of the Lower Macungie Library Building, 3450 Brookside Road. Singer Betty Nastzinger will entertain. Meetings are normally on first Thursday of each month (unless schools are closed). This chapter has been active for more than 25 years and half of about 170 members usually attend. April 4

"Being Alive: Songs and Lessons of the Journey through Cancer" concert at Miller (Allentown) Symphony Hall's Rodale Room, 7:30 p.m. Participants include Dr. Rick Boulay; John Richardson, organist at First Presbyterian Church of Allentown; Grace Spreiull, soprano, Bach Choir; and Kristin Grassi, nationally honored jazz singer. Each ticket includes dessert after the event and free parking. All funds raised will be donated to cancer related charities. Tickets are available through Miller Symphony Hall at 610-432-6715.

Pennsburg United Church of Christ, 775 Main St., Pennsburg, spring craft bazaar, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Easter treats, bake sale, vendors, crafts and Chinese basket raffle available.

The April recital for the Young Musicians of the Allentown Club will be held 3 p.m. at the house of Eunice and Ken Smith.The musicians will be playing pieces that celebrate the music of theater. Lower Macungie Firefighter's Women's Association Vera Bradley bingo at the fire department on Brookside Road. The Park and Recreation Commission of Hereford Township egg hunt for children ages two and up at the community park on Township Line Road behind the township building, 3131 Seisholtzville Road, 11 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, the hunt will be held April 19. Salisbury Township Recreation Committee Easter egg hunt, 10 a.m. at Lindberg Park for registered Salisbury Township children ages three to 10. Registration forms are available at the Salisbury Township Municipal Building. Children must be registered by April 9.

Horizon Church, 2613 W. South Street, Allentown hosts its annual egg drop 11:30 a.m. rain or shine. Fire truck egg drop is for ages preschool through fifth grade beginning at approximately noon.
