Car, truck-tractor

crash in Lynn Twp

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Kyle M. Finsel, 18, of Kempton, was pulling out from a stop sign in a Ford Maverick 3:05 a.m. March 4 on Route 143, Lynn Township, when the car was struck by 2000 Kenworth W900 tractor driven by Troy R. Andrews Jr., 24, of Palmerton.

According to police, the car was at the stop sign on Leaser Road and Route 143 when Finsel pulled out in front of the westbound truck.

The truck-tractor struck the front of the car, police say.

Police allege Finsel left the scene after the crash.

Neither Finsel nor Andrews were injured, police say.

Finsel was charged with stop sign traffic violations.

Car hits concrete barrier on I-78

Teron C. Williams, 47, of Allentown, was driving a 1993 Chevrolet Lumina when the car struck a concrete barrier 11:15 p.m. March 21 on I-78, Weisenberg Township.

According to State Police Troop M Fogels-ville, Williams was westbound I-78 when his car left the right lane, struck the concrete barrier on the bridge above Old Route 22, left the northern berm of I-78 westbound and crossed over both lanes of I-78.

Williams pulled the steering wheel to the right to avoid striking the center concrete barrier causing it to once again cross over the left and right lanes of I-78 westbound, police say. The car came to rest, perpendicular to I-78 westbound with its front bumper in the northern berm and its rear bumper in the right lane.

Police say a witness, behind the Chevrolet in the right lane, parked his vehicle on the northern berm of I-78 and helped Williams push his car from its position of rest onto the northern berm of I-78 westbound.

Williams was charged with a traffic violation, say police.
