Theft by unlawful taking

Reported in the 6000 block of Fountain Road, Upper Milford Township, a firearm was taken between March 1 and March 5. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Reported in the 1700 block of Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors stole medication overnight Feb. 15.

Theft by deception

Reported in the 2600 block of Terrwood Drive West, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor called around 2:30 p.m. Jan. 17 and convinced a resident there was a virus on a personal computer and the virus could be removed for a $208 fee. The caller did not provide any computer services after payment was made.

Theft from a motor vehicle

Reported in the 3300 block of Sawmill Drive, Lower Macungie Township, a laptop computer was taken from an unlocked vehicle overnight March 11.

Receiving stolen property

An unknown actor abandoned a vehicle in the 6800 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 7:07 p.m. March 8. Upon running a check on the vehicle, police learned the vehicle was reported stolen from Reading around 1:20 p.m. March 7. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Harassment

Fidencio Mendoza-Gonzalez, of San Juan, Mexico and Sun Valley, Calif., was charged with harassment after he allegedly punched another person in the head and face numerous times and forced his hands into and pried open the mouth of the victim while in a vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 78, between mile markers 60 and 45, crossing through Allentown and Salisbury, South Whitehall and Upper Macungie townships and ending in an alleged traffic stop 11 p.m. March 13 in Weisenberg Township.

Criminal mischief

Reported in the 3700 block of Chris Drive, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors threw a rock through a window between March 4 and March 9. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Reported in the 6400 block of Carmel Drive, Lower Macungie Township, a parked vehicle was damaged by an egg thrown overnight March 7.

Burglary

Reported in the 1600 block of Pinewind Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered a shed on the property and took several items between 12:01 a.m. Jan. 15 and 11:59 p.m. Feb. 6.

DUI

Adrian Mejias, 44, of Allentown, was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he allegedly had seven hypodermic needles and two clear glass smoking pipes containing residue in his vehicle when stopped in the 4300 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 11:42 a.m. Feb. 9. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

Angelo Domingo Zapata, 43, of New York City, N.Y., was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Mill Creek Road at Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:56 a.m. Feb. 16. Zapata was stopped for an alleged traffic violation.

Pak Lau, 30, of Allentown, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after an alleged traffic stop on Interstate 78 at mile marker 59.5, Salisbury Township, 3:54 a.m. Jan. 25. Charges were filed in district court.

Adrian Mejias, 44, of Allentown, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, retail theft and endangering the welfare of a child after police were called to Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, on the report of a child left alone in a vehicle, 12:03 p.m. Feb. 28. By the time police arrived, Mejias allegedly was attempting to leave the parking lot with a young child in the back seat of a vehicle. Mejias allegedly showed signs of impairment leading to his arrest for driving under the influence. Further investigation revealed Mejias's alleged involvement in a retail theft incident at Walmart just prior to his attempt to leave the parking lot.

Bethzaida Rodriguez, 28, of Bethlehem, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Route 309 and Route 22, Lower Macungie Township, 3:31 a.m. Feb. 22. Rodriguez allegedly was speeding, prompting the traffic stop. Charges were filed in district court.

Dylan Matthew Walker, 19, of Macungie, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Holly Road, 12:09 a.m. Feb. 23. Walker allegedly was stopped for multiple violations.
