Applications for the state's Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program are now available at local state senators and representatives offices, Department of Revenue district offices, local Area Agencies on Aging, senior centers and online at www.revenue.state.pa.us, calling 888-222-9190, until June 30.

The program, which provides Lottery-funded rebates on paid property taxes and rent for 2013, benefits eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older and individuals with disabilities age 18 and older. The income limit is $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters, with half of Social Security income excluded.

Yearly reapplication is necessary since rebates are based on yearly annual income and property taxes or rent. The maximum standard rebate is $650.
