Met Ed charged

for false alarms

According to a police report received Feb. 21, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Met Ed, 2521 Echo Cove Court, Weisenberg Township, was charged with having its fourth false alarm with in 12 months at 8:21 p.m. Jan. 20.

Charges were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

snowmobilers tussle

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Wayne and Josh Clark, 10553 Old Route 22, Weisenberg Township, reported to police they were involved in an altercation 4:41 p.m. Feb. 17, with four men on snowmobiles after they trespassed on their property.

Police say neither of the Clarks, who were punched and shoved, sustained any injuries. The men on snowmobiles fled toward Old Route 22.

Car hits I-78

Richard T. Faulk Jr., 27, of Harrisburg, was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima eastbound on I-78, Weisenberg Township, 10:16 a.m. Feb. 19, when he apparently lost control of the car, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

The car traveled across the right lane, struck a snow embankment, rolled over and came to rest on its roof, partially blocking the right lane, facing northeast.

Faulk, who police say was wearing his seat belt, was transported by Kutztown EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was cited for a traffic violation, police say.

Weisenberg Fire Company assisted at the scene.

Couple involved

in altercation

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 63-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman were involved in a verbal altercation that led to a physical altercation 9:49 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 2300 block of Golden Key Road, Weisenberg Township.
