Sheckler science fair is coming soon

Thursday, Feb. 27, is Sheckler Night at Skate Away in Whitehall. As part of TV Turnoff Week / Read Across America Week Sheckler Elementary School students and their families are invited to a free evening of skating from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free but skate rental fees apply. When you arrive, be sure to tell them you are from Sheckler Elementary in Catasauqua.

For those students taking part in TV Turnoff Week, it will come to an end March 1.

Sheckler Read A Thon calenders are due back to school on March 3. Please have your calender filled out with minutes read during the month of February and signed by a parent. This year's goal is 75,000 minutes schoolwide. Let's work together to help reach this goal. Remember, every minute counts.

The monthly Sheckler Home and School meeting for March will be held March 5 in the schools library at 7 p.m. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend.

It's time for the Sheckler Science Fair. Be sure to come out and enjoy seeing students projects and experiments 6-8 p.m. March 5 the Sheckler gym.

Projects may be dropped off in the cafeteria on Monday, March 3, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. or on Tuesday, March 4, from 7:30 to 8:30 am.m All projects must be in Sheckler's cafeteria no later than 9 a.m. March 4.

Please take note March 3 was supposed to be a scheduled Act 80 Day but is now a scheduled early dismissal student day.
