Nine community bands have been selected to perform a series of free concerts over a four-day period in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn Allentown Center City at 904 West Hamilton St.

The 2014 Association of Concert Bands National Convention will take place March 26-29.

The daily clinics and convention band rehearsals are for convention participants, but the concerts are open to everyone.

The Montgomery County Concert Band will perform 7:30 p.m. March 26; The Allentown Band will perform 8:30 p.m. March 26; The Marist College Community Wind Symphony, of New York, will perform 7:30 p.m. March 27; The Ringgold Band will perform 8:30 p.m. March 27; The Chesapeake Silver Cornet Brass Band, of Delaware, will perform 7:30 p.m. March 28; The City of Fairfax Band, of Virginia, will perform 8:30 p.m. March 28; The Buffalo Niagara Concert Band, of New York, will perform 2:30 p.m. March 29; The South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble, of New Jersey, will perform 3:30 p.m. March 29; The Ridgewood Concert Band, of New Jersey, will perform 7 p.m. March 29; The 2014 ACB Convention Band with Capt Michelle A. Rakers, USMC conducting, will perform 8 p.m. March 29.
