Theft
A resident at Woodland Terrace at the Oaks, 1263 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., reported 4:36 p.m. Feb. 11 her diamond engagement ring missing after returning home and finding the door to the home open.
A worker at Eastern Comfort Assisted Living, 1493 E. Emmaus Ave., reported 9:42 a.m. Feb. 18 the theft of $1,135 from a purse left on the counter Feb. 17. Police are investigating.
Driving under the influence
Aneudis Pizarro, 30, of Bethlehem, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence 2:25 a.m. Feb. 11. Pizarro was stopped in the 1600 block of Broadway for a traffic violation after police allegedly observed only one functioning brake light. Pizarro was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Retail theft
Tiffany Ellis, 31, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after allegedly removing $62 worth of baby clothes 4:37 p.m. Feb. 11 from Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St. She was taken to Central Booking for processing and issued a citation.
Vehicle theft
A resident in the 1700 block of 33rd Street, Allentown, reported 8:29 a.m. Feb. 12 she went out to warm up her 2005 Acura, left it unlocked for approximately 35 minutes and when she went outside, her car was missing. The vehicle was found later the same day in Allentown with the leather steering wheel, seats and shift lever removed.
Drugs
Jamie Plumley, 31, of Northampton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia 2:51 p.m. Feb. 13 after an incident at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest. Plumley allegedly arrived at the emergency room to be treated and threw her purse in the trash after an argument. Security personnel retrieved the purse and allegedly found 11 used glass crack pipes in the purse.
Hit and run
Piotr Chciuk, 25, of Emmaus, has been charged with driving under suspension, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid after an accident 8:42 a.m. Feb. 18. Chciuk's vehicle allegedly slid into another vehicle and Chciuk allegedly drove away. The driver of the other vehicle had the license plate number which was traced back to Chciuk. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
