Catasauqua couple
celebrates 60 years
Lee P. and Carolyn R. (Snyder) Schleicher of Catasauqua celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family Jan. 24.
They were married at Neffs Church, Neffs, in 1954, by the late Rev. Weida.
Mrs. Schleicher is the daughter of the late Charles and Addie (Buss) Snyder, who resided in Schnecksville.
Mr. Schleicher's parents, the late John and Sadie (Krause) Schleicher, resided in Catasauqua.
Carolyn retired from St. Paul's Child Care Center, St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, where she was a teacher for many years.
Lee, an Army veteran, is retired from the Philadelphia, Bethlehem and New England Railroad, Bethlehem. He is a beekeeper in the Lehigh Valley.
The Schleichers are longtime members of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua.
They celebrated the anniversary with their children: daughter, Karen and her husband, John Patton, both of Glenside, Montgomery County; son, David B. Schleicher, and his wife, Laurie, both of Sykesville, Md., and daughter, Carol, and her husband, Perry Good, both of Lititz, Lancaster County; and grandsons Joshua, Brenden and Dawson Good.
They are also the grandparents of the late Rebecca Brown.
A family party to celebrate the wedding anniversary was held at the home of their daughter, Karen, and husband, John Patton.
