Man injured

in Lowhill Twp

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 15-year-old Allentown boy resisted attempts to restrain him, injuring a 37-year-old school staff member from Reading, at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 4 inside Lehigh Learning and Achievement School, 2936 Corporate Court, Lowhill Township.

This incident remains under investigation, police say.

Pickup goes

into ditch

Bonnie J. Unangst, 43, of Kempton, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup eastbound on Mountain Road, just east of Ohl Court, Lynn Township, at 8:50 a.m. Jan. 22 when she apparently lost control of the truck on the snow-covered road, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

The truck went across the westbound lane and off the road into a ditch.

Unangst, who was wearing her seat belt, was not injured, police say.

Unangst was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Vehicle hits

embankment

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 17-year-old Leesport boy was driving a 2002 Toyota RAV4 1:40 p.m. Jan. 22 on Route 143, Lynn Township, when he apparently lost control of the SUV while negotiating a left curve on the snow and ice-covered road and struck an embankment .

The SUV began to spin in a counterclockwise rotation, traveled across the westbound lane and struck an embankment on the north side of Route 143 with its front center bumper.

It then spun in a clockwise rotation across the westbound and eastbound lanes before coming to a final rest, partially blocking the eastbound lane of Route 143.

The teen and his 17-year-old male passenger, also from Leesport, sustained minor injuries, police say.

A 16-year-old male passenger from Leesport, was uninjured.

Police say all three were wearing seat belts.

Couple cited

with harassment

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Nicole Hartman, 33, of Slatington, allegedly engaged in a mutual physical altercation with her boyfriend, Brandon Clyde Rumble, 29, also of Slatington, at 10:08 p.m. Feb. 5 outside 6202 Hazel Court, Washington Township.

Both received minor injuries to their mouths, police say.

A non-traffic citation for harassment was filed against both Hartman and Rumble with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.
