STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q. What grade are you currently in?
A. I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite class was anatomy and physiology. I have always had an interest in the human body and being able to learn about all the different functions and systems of the body in detail was awesome. Plus, the labs are awesome!
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I am in National Honor Society, received a first place at PJAS (regionals), just recently became a certified level 1 ski instructor through Professional Ski Instructors of America, earned three varsity letters in soccer and was selected for county chorus two years in a row.
Q. What extracurricular activities are you involved in, both in and out of school?
A. Varsity soccer, varsity track, best buddies, theater, chorus, Descant Get Enough, Key Club, class advisory, church activities, student athletic trainer, peer tutoring, volunteer work at Good Shepherd and on the weekends I also teach little kids how to ski at Shawnee Mountain.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. I want to go to college (either Lebanon Valley, DeSales or Arcadia) and study physical therapy or exercise science.
Q. What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?
A. I think my hardest decision is deciding on what I want to do after I graduate high school. There are so many options out there and every college has something to offer, I just have to figure out where I want to be.
Q. What do you want to be remembered for?
A. I want people to remember me as a person who made an impact on people's lives and the girl with a fun personality.
Q. Who is in your family?
A. My mom, Cherie, my dad, Mike, younger brother, Eric, our dog Bode and cats Princess and Smokey.
Q. Do you have someone you look up to?
A. I don't have one particular person, however I have many role models for different reasons who inspire me and bring out the best in me. Their example makes me who I am.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. Enjoy your life and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes are supposed to happen and only make you stronger.
