The beginning of the second semester at LVCHS proves to provide increasingly strenuous work for students as the days go on.
Students, especially those in sports, find the focus of free time has been slowly transitioning to homework and studying.

The girls basketball team has proved they are a force to be reckoned with, with a season record of thirteen wins and five losses. They are near the top of their division, participating in the playoffs Feb. 11.
The boys basketball team is a bit behind the girls in wins. However, the team has a record seven wins and ten losses; the team is not completely knocked out of competing yet.

Winter conditioning is still in motion as athletes prepare for their spring sport.
Sign-ups have been going on for some time. There seems to be a good turnout of students signing up for track, baseball and spring soccer.

LVCH's drama program has been working feverishly to prepare for their spring musical, "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown."
The students participating prove to be very creative in their roles and have an abundance of ideas to make their show more enjoyably and entertaining for the viewers.

Each new semester brings new students to our school, particularly new exchange students. We welcome the newcomers and pray for them as they are in the hard transition of schools and countries.

Valentine's Day is drawing near and our school is excited for the activity that our Student Council is preparing. Students can order candy and cards for the student council to deliver to our friends. Forms are already available.
