Sheckler's Read-A-Thon is under way for the month of February. Students are asked to read at least 10 minutes each night for the entire month of February.

Minutes must be logged on to the calender sent home with students. The calenders will need to be signed by a parent when submitted.

All calenders are due back no later than March 4. Each student that participates and turns in a signed calender will be included in a group picture with their grade level for the Sheckler yearbook. Classrooms will receive a class certificate for their participation as well.

Students who plan to participate in the upcoming TV Turn Off Week at the end of February must also participate in the Read-A-Thon in order to receive the T-shirt. This year's goal is to read a total of 75,000 minutes, school wide for the month of February.

The Read-A-Thon ties in with the upcoming Read Across America Week/TV Turn Off Week Celebration, "Campfire Jamboree," which will include many fun activities for students to participate in. Stay tuned for more details.
